Frustration

What do you do when you are feeling frustrated about something... or just impatient with someone? I'm struggling! HELP!

p.s. It's not my dear husband :o)

well, I must say I have LOADS of experience in this category, unfortunately. It usually helps for me to take a few minutes ALONE if possible and do some serious praying for that person, and asking God to give me a fresh perspective, help me minister to them, etc. Deep breathing is also a big help - seriously! Sometimes it also helps to write out the situation from their perspective as well. I'll be praying for you!!! This is a tough struggle.

ditto jenny's response. alot of times I struggle with this - it's mostly ME!! aren't we all just as sinful and frustrating as everyone else!!? it helps me to remember my faults and my shortcomings and to think why I'd be upset at others when I'm the "same" way (sometimes) :)
God's mercy and grace are so freeing - it's hard to give the same to others but as we're commanded to it brings on a whole 'nother viewpoint to the situation.
oh and... it helps when others pray for you!! and now I WILL!! :)

In my case, I usually regret doing ANYTHING in regard to the other person until I am over my frustration. When I act emotionally, I usually regret it:) I echo the prayer response- I know I have my own personal sin to deal with before anyone else's when I don't feel like praying about it, and I have found it is hard to maintain a sinful attitude when I am forced to humbly give it to the Lord and recognize it as from His hand. (You might already be handling this right without a sinful response, unlike I probably would!)

OK, so I'm going to be the one who admits that many times I just go NUTSO with the cleaning and I rant to my husband. THEN I pray....I need to switch those actions around, I know, but man do I ever get a lot done when I'm ticked off or frustrated! Andy knows that something has me upset if I go around cleaning like a crazy lady. LOL :)

This is the state of my life usually! Actually more like STRESS rather than frustration all the time. I can tell you that the ONLY way I make it is to be consistent in the WORD and PRAYER (keeping the focus off of myself) and spending time serving others. Also, it really helps me to surround myself with friends and family who love me and encourage me.

ALONE TIME is good as well, but I usually like being around people. I am praying for you!
