A Good Experience at the DMV???

www.dmv.org.jpg

Oh you heard me correctly. I actually had a positive experience at the Chicago Department of Motor Vehicles.  I was floored! I have to admit, after Virginia I was used to going in - waiting 2+ hours, only to get to the front of the line for them to tell you that you have the wrong identification with you.

Today I actually went into the DMV and got out in UNDER 20 minutes!  WOW! I complimented every worker I saw on my way out. I was so impressed!

I know, right?! They had separate lines for everything and a TON of very helpful workers. It was so nice.

I am feeling great actually. I am almost 14 weeks now, so past that sick and tired stage. How are you feeling?

Wow! Maybe I should take you with me when I go - so I can have a good experience too. Oh - do you want to go downtown with me on Saturday or Sunday? I want to do a practice trip before my Tuesday interview. Maybe we can do something fun down there too...let me know b/c it would be way more fun to go with you than alone!

It might just be the Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk DMVs because I had a great, quick experience at the Williamsburg DMV. I had to renew my driver's license, and Dan had offered to keep the girls as the DMV wait is not great for them. I was guessing I could get an internet connection there so I took my laptop imagining all I would get done without interruption so I wasn't even dreading the wait.

I was almost disappointed when I got in and out with a renewed driver's license, new picture and all in fifteen minutes. I think I only got two emails sent... :-)

Glad you had a good DMV experience too. I think it helps when you go in with low expectations.
