I can hardly believe it, but my maternity leave is just about up. I
head back to teaching on March 16th! I have LOVED being at home with my sweet baby girl and I can't quite imagine being away from her from 6:30am - 5pm every day! But I am so thankful that the Lord has allowed me to have 12 weeks home with her. I value each moment. Fortunately there are only 11 weeks left until summer! And Spring break is just 4 weeks after I go back :) I am also very thankful that Tim will be able to stay home with Maddy while he works on his MDiv thesis. I know this time will be a special time for him to spend with her. I would appreciate your prayers as I do my best to balance teaching 20 fourth graders at school and a husband and daughter at home. I am thankful that the Lord will "never leave me nor forsake me" - He is so good!
Here are a few recent pics of Maddy. Hope you enjoy :)
Her cute little feet
She has gotten so much better at holding her head up and keeping her legs stiff when I hold her
Her leopard print outfit :)
We have found that no matter where we are in the living room, if the tv is on, she will crane her neck just to see it. Tim had her resting on his lap looking up at him (originally) in this one - what a stinker :)

I'm so glad you can leave her with Tim! You're right, it'll be a special time for him. But I'm sure they'll both miss you while you're gone!
She's adorable; thanks for sharing new pics! =)
I've been thinking and praying for you today specifically for this very reason! love you hun! know you can talk to me anytime! :)
She's so beautiful. I LOVE that she has to watch TV! I hope Lost becomes her favorite show ! :) :) And I will be praying for you back at work. If anyone can do it, it's you!
I know how hard it is going back to work after being home for what seems like a short time! God will give grace. It's good that Maddy gets to stay home with Tim. That's always a relief! Eli stays home with Vince some days or my sister-in-law other days (so at least it's family). I'll be praying for you as you go back next week!!
Cute pictures; the one with her looking at the TV is great! I'm glad Tim can watch Maddy. I will be praying for you as you return to work.
Cute pictures...I love the one with the T.V. as well. Glad Tim can watch her while you finish up your teaching. Hope all goes well for you.
Bless your heart! Like others have said, I too am thankful that Tim will be the one to watch your precious one. (I know he already does) but he will always appreciate your job as a mom even more after this rewarding yet challenging (in trying to work on a thesis during naps) time. :-) What a little cutie you have. I love it how you said you are enjoying each moment -- just the way it should be. Sometimes I forget to do that, though. I'm only away from my girls four hours a day, but even when I'm with them, I'm not always because of study time. I need to remember to be thankful for the moments that I can cuddle and play with them. We're (you and Tim and me and Dan) both in "phases of life" that won't last forever and despite the many adjustments can be a very blessed time.
I too hope God gives you much grace & strength to balance everything. I am only teaching one hour a day and I know it can be hard!
Hey Julie,
I'm sorry to hear you are on your way back to work...I'm sure that's not going to be easy, but I will be praying for you. I was thinking about you this week cause I made one of your recipes...so good :) I think you called it Chicken Supreme.
Well - miss you guys!
